How to Choose the Right Garment Accessories for Your Clothing Brand

Start with the garment and its use
List every component the product needs, from closures and thread to elastic, labels and decorative trims. The garment’s construction, wearer, care instructions and intended use all affect which options are suitable.
A trim that works on a lightweight fashion top may not be appropriate for a heavy workwear jacket. Start with the product specification rather than choosing by appearance alone.
Define performance and appearance
Record the required material, dimensions, colour reference, finish and functional expectations for each component. Consider comfort against skin, movement, repeated opening, washing and exposure to the conditions the product will face.
For brand consistency, review how hardware, thread, fabric and trims look together under suitable lighting. Approve a coordinated sample before production planning.
Sample, approve and document
Test representative samples on the intended fabric and construction. Check fit, handling, colour, finish and any relevant wash or use conditions before approving a bulk specification.
Keep the approved sample or clear reference, record revisions and share the same specification with procurement, merchandising and production teams. Contact JGE with the garment type, requirements and expected quantity to discuss relevant options.
